Did You know, there is a Secret Action adopted by ultra-performers, successful leaders, extreme achievers to “do” what it takes that helps them embrace and maintain their iconic status for eternity?
And it can be emulated by YOU.
It is scientific, it is validated. It is almost like the law of gravity.
The Secret Action undertaken by Steve Jobs, Lewis Hamilton, Bethoven, Sachin Tendulkar, Michael Jackson, makes them so exclusively distinct in their field of work, where they are not competitors to anyone anymore, but rather they have become creators of new tales of legends with uninterrupted repetition. Besides the grit, determination, relentless hard-work and utmost discipline there is one more secret dimension. Flow.
“Flow” (not to be confused with ‘going with the flow’) is the state that Michaelangelo was in when he painted the ceiling of Vatican’s Sistine Chapel for days without food, water or rest. It is this psychological state that Bruce Lee refers to in his book The Tao of Jeet Kune Do, when he talks about the importance of adaptability and shedding preconceptions.
Flow is not new, it has existed for thousands of years in our ancient wisdom traditions of the east, in the teachings of Buddhism, Taoism, Vedas and the Ashtavakra Gita, to name a few.
WHAT EXACTLY IS FLOW?
Extensive studies conducted by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi and the foundation of his book “Finding Flow”, is the most widely cited explanations for Flow of unbounded energy, a single-minded immersion, an ultimate pleasurable absorption in activities that lead to unimaginable outcomes. To enter the state of Flow, these legends & high achievers create an environment for themselves, to operate in and engage themselves in tasks, perceived to be
FLOW FOR EACH OF YOU
Flow isn’t just for the elite or maestros or the top 3-5% performers of the world.
Flow is for each of You, if you are absolutely determined to get to the next level. In fact, achieving the results out of a Flow state requires zero effort, as there is a perfect alignment to unbounded information that you merely tap into & spectacular results simply ‘flow’ through you with precision, as the mind is totally quietened. (An average active mind has ~100 thoughts a minute).
But getting into the Flow state itself is tough, as the low mind & intellect interfere with your own hidden potential through beliefs that you hold about yourself and the task. To get into Flow, one requires all the traits of a serial winner – daily discipline to train for an unwavering mind, absolutely no self-doubts, single-pointed focus, supreme self confidence and a literal obsession about the task undertaken.
So, The nifty version on what is to be actually “done” is this:
It can be done if training for a marathon, preparing for a crucial exam, working on a critical project or piece of art. I encourage you to practice this and watch yourself breach new benchmarks – internal and /or external.
It really only is that. Are you prepared to Flow?
