To me, Yoga asanas, are a physical and mental workout, one that stirs intoxication like a drug that heals and then adds vitality and zest to your being. After attending different types of yoga sessions over time at various institutions, I noticed a progression of wonderful changes during this beautiful art of living. The reason is simple. Its the meaning of yoga itself, and its underlying principle - Yoga, which means unions of body, mind and spirit, demands Attention on Action.
When I began performing the different yoga asanas, by learning to pay attention on my actions, I got accustomed to synchronize my thoughts and actions even during other areas of work and activities. Previously, the passiveness with which I was taking each breath was an indicator that I was paying little to no attention on the actions in the body - I was mindlessly going through life. Thus, I believe that Yoga provides you life-training by teaching you to naturally sync yourself, in all that you do - whether doing surgical procedure or working on a management report. It is no wonder the Wild West has an ever increasing following for this ancient wisdom tradition that naturally helps one to feel more centered, connected and peaceful.
Practice paying More Attention a ritual in your daily life and watch how external activities become easier to manage and triumph, helping you maximize & not miss the micro-opportunities in life; become actively aware of ineffective thought patterns & mechanical movements and reactions. Simple attention is the starting point to life-changing initiatives that come after; by ceasing inner distraction you achieve inner-world class, further propelling your overall efficiency and effectiveness in life.
